  If you take a look on the wee-preserved trilobite fossil, the body can be separated into three parts in a longitudinal direction.
  The name “trilobite” can be broken down into 3 words: “tri” which means “3”, “lob” which means “leaf”, and “-ite” which means “stone”. It is obvious that that its name derives from its appearance.
