Staurolite
- Staurolite
Locality: Cherokee County, Georgia, U. S. A.
In Europe, staurolite has been cherished through the ages as “holy stone”, “lucky charm stone”, or “baptism stone”, and crusaders are said to have worn this stone. They probably thought that the stone might protect them. It is understandable that Christian people came to believe this cross-shaped staurolite as “the Miracle Stone.”
